Rutile titanium dixoide R218(universal grade)

Description:

1, Liangjiang brand – rutile titanium dioxide pigment R218  is manufactured by the sulphate process and supplied as a fine, dry powder, which are inorganic coated with Al2O3&SiO2 and special organic surface treated to have both good optical properties and excellent pigment properties. With advanced control technology of particle-size and particular coating technology, the products show good whiteness, high gloss, great hiding power, strong tinting power, favorable weatherability , high chalk resistance, low oil absorption, good wetting and are easy to disperse in a variety of systems.

Applications:

Rutile Titanium Dioxide pigments R218 is general purpose products, widely used in industries includes indoor&outdoor coatings, interior and exterior latex paints, industrial coatings, powder coatings, road sign paint, anti-corrosive paint, antifouling paint, marine paint. The products can also be used in plastics (PVC, PE, polystyrene and polyurethane etc.), masterbatch, rubber, printing ink, leather, paper making, decoration paper and etc..

2. Comparation of chlorination process VS. Sulfuric acid process rutile titanium dioxide produced by Liangjiang:

Sulfuric acid process rutile titanium dioxide

Advantage: take low-cost titanium ore ( or titanium slag ) and sulfuric acid as materials, long-standing technology, ripe technique, lower producing cost.

Disadvantage:  more process, longer technological process, seriously environmental pollution, normal quality stability, lower quality.

Chlorination process rutile titanium dioxide

Advantage: take high-purity artificial rutile (TiO2≥90%) as material, shorter technological process, easily to expand producing capacity, higher quality, can be used as substitute of imported chlorination titanium dioxide.

Disadvantage: Currently, chlorination process titanium dioxide is monaplized by oversea companies, difficulty to import oversea equipments and technology. Higher cost caused by taking high-purity titanium ore as material. More difficulty technology.

Due to the different raw materials and production process, the product performance is different and has different requirements to the weather resistance, hiding power, aesthetics and dispersion titanium dioxide. So the clients should choose titanium dioxide of different quality based on their needs.
